Interactive Visual Workspaces with Dynamic Foveal Areas and Adaptive Composite Interfaces

چکیده
This paper presents novel techniques and metaphors for on-demand visual workspaces in everyday office environments, providing space-efficient, flexible and highly interactive graphical user interfaces using projected displays. For increased resolution, contents personalization and interactive visualization, the users can augment the large-scale projections with dynamic high-resolution foveal enhancements using a pocket light metaphor. To further optimize the presentation at a given resolution, the design of the displays can be modified interactively, and like a jigsaw puzzle, the layout can be customized using an adaptive compositing approach which supports freeform focus-and-context rendering. With a unified intensity-based tracking approach, we allow for natural multitouch interaction with the information space through bare hands, pointers and pens on arbitrary surfaces.

A Toolset for Creating Iconic Interfaces for Interactive Workspaces
To work productively in an interactive workspace, users need effective interfaces for seamlessly sharing, annotating, and juxtaposing digital information across heterogeneous devices. In this paper, we present an interface toolset for constructing and using iconic interfaces for interactive workspaces. Using an iconic representation of the physical workspace, users can quickly and easily reloca...
متن کاملEvaluation of Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Findings in Patients with Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion
Purpose: To analyze the correlation of optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) findings with visual acuity (VA) in patients with branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO). Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 20 eyes of 20 patients with unilateral BRVO involving the macula referred to the ophthalmology clinic of Rassoul Akram Hospital. OCTA imaging was conducted for all patie...
متن کاملDistributing the User Interface Logics along Actionable Components: the EFESTO Approach
Developing interactive systems is a very tough task. In particular, the development of user interfaces (UIs) is one of the most time consuming aspects in the software lifecycle. Software development is more and more moving toward composite applications. In this paper, we present a mashup model that enables the integration at the presentation layer of specific UI components. As application of th...
متن کاملState of the Art in Migration
In recent years, research on interactive migratory services has started by a number of R&T labs. For instance, one of the first works related to migration was the one of Bharat and Cardelli (1995), who put forward an initial solution for migrating entire applications (but without proving support for the user interface part), and which revealed to be problematic due to different execution enviro...
متن کاملDesign Issues on the Support of Tools and Media in Replayable Workspaces
This paper presents exible support for asynchronous sharing (later-time use) of computer-supported workspaces (CSWs), or simply replayable workspaces. Through the interactive replay of a previously recorded CSW session, it is possible to reuse valuable collaborative information. The session is represented through heterogeneous media streams each containing state and inputs to a CSW tool. We pre...
